1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the RATEL Helpdesk (“Service”) operated by Samchis Enterprises for the Ratel Movement, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Definitions

• Service: The incident/complaint reporting portal and related features.
• User: Any person using the Service (reporter, staff, admin).
• Content: All information or materials submitted or generated via the Service.

3. Scope & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or age of majority in your jurisdiction). You agree to provide accurate registration information and keep it current.

4. Acceptable Use

• Do not submit unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, or harmful content.
• Do not upload malware or attempt to disrupt the Service.
• Do not infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
• Keep your credentials secure and notify us of any unauthorized use.

5. Registration & Access

You are responsible for all activities under your account. We may require verification steps to protect accounts and the Service.

6. Content & Evidence

By submitting Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and display it solely to provide the Service (triage, assignment, resolution, audit, security). Do not include sensitive personal data unless strictly necessary for the case.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, design, and software are owned by Samchis Enterprises or licensors. Except for permitted use, you may not copy, modify, or distribute Service materials without written permission.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described therein.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy, or case outcomes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed fees paid by you (if any) or ₦100 where no fees were paid.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach or risk to the Service. Provisions that by nature survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, liabilities) will remain in effect.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts in Nigeria, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last Updated” date reflects the latest revision. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
